Bonfire Building: October 26, 2013.

Assisting in Langham Parish's Bonfire Event.

Eleven lacrosse volunteers and myself have been helping build the bonfire today alongside members of the parish and event organisers.



Every year Langham Parish hosts its very own bonfire night event in order to raise funds for its maintenance. It has become their most popular event and allowed them to invest in new facilities including a tennis court and play area that is open to everyone in their community.

organisers were greatful for our support

I just want to say a big thank you to the volunteers today! The organisers were very happy with our work and have asked if we would be willing to commit to more work with them in the future.  Thank you for giving up your time.

P.s. The people running wthe project were so happy with our involvement, they sent this message to the Vteam co-ordinator at The University of Essex:

"We look forward also to the Lacrosse team for the evening from 5pm. We were so delighted with their input last week, both in their sheer physical strength, their involvement and their super personalities. Also, thank you for finding some volunteers for the clear-up. Always the worst day!!
