Fresher's week

Hi Guys!

This is my first post as charity and fundraising officer for the Lacrosse Club, and I am looking forward to weekly update you on what the Lacrosse Club is up to. We have started the new school year with a banging first week with a lot of fundraising, volunteering and promotion of the club.

We started the week off with volunteering on Arrivals Day, helping the new students with carrying boxes and moving into their new accommodation. We got to meet a lot of new people, as well as let the new fresher's know that they are very welcome at the University.

The volunteers of this event was: Adam Dear, Anna Myhren, Kristin Vegsund, Aurora Granaasen, Julie Kristin Sjøhaug og Nikoline Eide Torlei

On Monday we taught ActiveEssex how to play Lacrosse. We had a two-hour training session with them, which involved teaching them how to catch and throw with a stick. We ended the session with a game that resulted in a 5-0 score for the winning team.

It was very fun to help out and teach people about how to play Lacrosse, as many people have not tried it before.

ActiveEssex: Thank you for a great game and hope you will be back to try Lacrosse again!
